OEM Training Provider for Simlat Specto

Developed through a Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation funded joint effort, Simlat and the Sinclair College National UAS Training and Certification Center partnered to create and field a revolutionary solution for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) aided search and rescue and disaster response missions. Simlat’s Specto Lite payload with integrated ground control and cloud-based mission software enables users to leverage the benefits of UAS manual or autonomous flight to identify potential disaster victims or missing persons. Primary UAS video sensors may be used for initial identification augmented by the Specto Lite integrated camera. If communications are required with a potential victim or operational team on the ground, the system is capable of winch deployment of a two-way voice communication system to connect those near the UAS to the operator or mission control at a remote location. Specto Lite enables UAS to perform search and rescue and disaster response tasks with greater likelihood of success and at lower risk for first responders.

To enable effective deployment, Simlat has teamed with the Sinclair College National UAS Training and Center to serve as their Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized training partner to provide training on the Specto Lite system including basic operations and through mission driven scenarios. The curriculum, offered by Sinclair with the approval of Simlat, entails a two (2) day course consisting of four (4) hours of ground school and 12 hours of hands-on operational instruction deploying the Specto Lite system on leading vertical-takeoff-and-landing (VTOL) UAS.

In-person ground and operational training can be provided at Sinclair facilities or remote locations leading to a Simlat Specto Lite - Operator Original Equipment Manufacturer Authorized Training Certificate upon successful completion. Training is designed for cohorts of one to four participants.
